Step 1 Choose your Style of Driveway Gate

Instructions:In this Step we need to know what type of driveway gate you need e.g. a sliding gate or a swinging gate?

We'll also need your gate measurements, you may already have builders plans showing these sizes. If not you will need to measure the width and height of your gate. 95% of the gates we install do not exceed 1.8 metres in height as this is the maximum height allowance of most councils throughout Sydney.

An example of how to list your measurements in 'Step 1' is shown here: a gate measures 3.2 metres wide (3 metres and 200mm) with a height of 1.8 metres (1 metre and 800 mm).

1. Single Swing Gate

Once a swing gate is wider than 2.8 meters we strongly recommend you install a pair of swing gates.

3. Single Sliding Gate

Sliding gates require an area that is as wide as the driveway gate off to the side, so it can slide into the open position. If you do not have this room available for the gate to slide open you will need a swing gate system.

2. Pair of Swing Gates

A pair of gates are ideal for driveways over 2.8 metres wide

Step 2 Pedestrian Gates and Fence Panels (if applicable)

Instructions:If you do not require a pedestrian gate or fencing please proceed to Step 3.

Many sites will require a separate pedestrian gate and sometimes fencing.

A standard pedestrian gate size is 1 metre wide x 1.8 metre high.

An example of how to list this is: gate width: 1.0 x gate height: 1.8.
In order to price your fencing all we need is the total width of your fence panels (even if the panels are to be installed separately please add up the width of each area around the property to supply one total figure).

For example you may have four separate areas of fencing and the total width is 14.5 meters (14 metres and 500mm)

Step 3 Choose Your Gate Design

Creator Range

Choose between a combination of spear tops, rings, squares, scrolls and more to achieve the finished result just the way you want it

Slats

Slats are 50mm x 10mm Horizontal slats and can be manufactured in either, aluminium or steel with a powdercoated finish of the colour choice as per the colour chart on the site.

Steel Frame

This is an ideal cost effective solution for the DIY home handyman, builder or landscaper. We will supply and install your Automated Gate System - without cladding the gate. The 'Steel Frame Gate' has been specifically designed for you to attach your choice of cladding/pickets once we have completed your installation.

Picket

This design option gives you the look of a classic painted timber fence without the upkeep. Constructed of galvanised steel with a powdercoated finish this design will last forever unlike a standard timber picket fence. With a great range of 'picket heads' to choose from your automatic picket gate and fencing will be the envy of all your neighbours.

Colorbond
